Im w/ you eric. I just like being able to catch fish w/out trying. Im no fisherman, but i like to catch em 
The best luck ive had is w/ pink and rainbow power bait, and pautze's salmon eggs. Just use a splitshot or egg/swivel sinker rig w/ hook about 1 1/2 to 2 ft up. I heard other people are doing well w/ green power bait. Didnt try worms or minnows, why spend more than i need to
