The nice thing about OC is if you live near the beach all the smog gets pressed up against the hills near Brea and Fullerton with the summer on shore breezes. I'm convinced that the smog never got as bad as the winter inversions do here especially this last winter. I only lived in the OC for 3 years and I really prefer NoCal. And yes Mark Twain said it was cold in SF but I never had to shovel snow though.
I've tried just about everything as far as fishing goes I like SW best but the only salt water here is the GSL and brine shrimp don't fight very well. 2nd on the list would be stripers and 3rd would be channels. I haven't fished for the last couple years but I'm making the time this year been a half a dozen times since January. []
