I agree with your insights on the contest... I think the catfish will for sure be a major factor in the overall winner, will have to have a good cat no matter what, but the other species will make the little differences that determine the winner... I suspect the winner will have to have at least a 30" catfish to be competitive down the stretch, then well placed big fish in the other categories... I keep trying to get the vibe on what folks think of the contest and have gotten a few comments, but in general it's been pretty quiet outside of entering fish... I'm hoping folks like the format, I haven't really heard from any haters yet, so I'm hoping that means it's okay... I just wish I had the time I have during the winter to go try to catch some fish... Lot's of things I'd like to chase, but too much on my plate to get it done.... I will have to recommend the boat as a nice tool to make the summer fishing more productive... At least it's a great place to keep all the toys that help make fishing more productive... (finders, and etc.) Good luck if you make that decision to get a good one that will do what you need..
