Live bait, small Pilchards.

I also realize that a day of throwing that big fly gear will wear out your body quicker- just wondering if you ever try it.
At least your little red looks healthy, and in a couple years he will be one of those big boys... if he keeps out of the way of them between now and then!
I gotta tell ya, I have been lazy with the fly rod, ly. I do still take the rod out on occasion though. I have a buddy in town next week and we will be fly fishing, hopefully we’ll have some pics. And yes, I have caught snook and jacks on the fly rod…lots of fun but you are correct that throwing a fly rod all day is tiring. Get lazy just throwing live bait and drinking beer.
