Last year the pink Berkley maggots that most of us use for kokanee became impossible to buy and a lot of us thought it had more to do with the pandemic than any other reason. Not sure if that same issue will continue this year but taking notice of what Robert says and at least buying a few bottles, just in case it happens again this year, sure can't be a bad thing. You never know what else could happen this year, seeing how it is starting off.

I only got my boat wet 4 times last summer and went 3 other times in somebody else's boat.  But even in a busy year fishing, I have yet to need more than one bottle of each color maggots - white, green, & pink.  I wonder if maybe the shortage last year was due to the enormous increase of folks fishing and exceeding the manufacturers projected sales numbers.  I guess it wouldn't hurt to go get my 3 bottles now before the season really starts. 

We think that was exactly why they were in such short supply, more folks fishing over the last two year. One thing I can tell you is in the last two years I have never seen so many people out fishing at Strawberry during the week. LOL, yea, it can't hurt, it isn't like they will go bad if you don't use them. Robert goes through a bunch of them in a season but few of us get out three or times a week like he does.
