First off all Presidents are hypocrites and almost all are narcissists. However I made the post to point out the current one is way beyond any other recent president. Look the only president I can recall in my lifetime that wasn’t clearly an extreme narcissist was Jimmy Carter. Obviously not a great president that history won’t change even if the current one goes down as even worse. I don’t even think Trump is the worst. I’d put him after George W Bush but before Carter.. I actually do think Trump is doing a few things right and I do hope he has success. If it’s liberal to criticize the assault on our Constitution or call out the extreme hypocrisy of a president please call me liberal. However I consider myself a moderate. In Utah that makes me liberal and in Massachusetts that makes me conservative from those that live in their isolated bubble. I’ve voted in every Presidential election and most in between since 1984. I’ve never voted straight party. I’ve voted for who I thought was the best candidate including Presidential candidates of both parties. Ive personally thought Trump is an unethical cheat since the 1980s. That was when he was still a Democrat. Nothing to do with his party but what to me appeared to be a pattern of swindling others including massive tax evasion. He clearly was a racist as well in my opinion. I can still remember his ads calling for reinstatement of the death penalty before the Central Park 5 were tried and convicted. Only problem they were latter cleared after serving time when there was strong evidence that the weren’t the culprits. If you think I would of voted for Trump if he ran as a Democrat you’re crazy. I also was saying before this election that whoever won was absolutely going to be a 1 term President. I hate to admit it but I voted for Hilary. However probable the only situation that would have got me to vote Trump was if he ran against Bernie. I’d also would hate to admit it because all 3 were extremely poor candidates. For what it’s worth I preferred Kasich over anyone else in either party that at all had a shot at it.
I don’t blindly support any politician or party. That is the extremist position worth labeling if one was inclined to reduce an argument to that level. I have no problem looking closely in the mirror before posting.
