Hi Everyone! My name is John. I used to fish a lot, but haven't fished for about ten years. Now my 8 year old son is begging me to get him out. I'm dusting off the rods and reels and digging out the tackle. I mostly fished for largemouth bass before using artificials and catch/release. I also did a little fly fishing, but not much. I loved to float tube.
I just moved to Mission Viejo. I used to fish in this area at Irvine Lake (closed) and Oso Resevoir (private now) a lot. Now I'll have to learn where to go. I also hope to learn to fish some ocean from shore/jetty/rocks, etc. For Christmas my wife gave me a fishing license with an ocean stamp so I'm ready to go! :-)
