Medium heavy rod. I use 15 lbs line (florocarbon) Ice fishing. I use the eagle claw inline magnum reel, but any baitcaster or normal sized spinning reel would work. Your goal should be to get the fish up to the surface as fast as you can then get back down to catch another one. You will need a uv flashlight to charge your lures in a regular basis! That is key. Start around 2 pm and fish till midnight. [fishon]
