[#0000FF]Time marches on. Then it was Allied. Today it is the Internet...like Amazon.
But it just ain't the same. Like the difference between actually being out on the water fishing...and playing some stupid fishing video game.
I lived over off 9th east and 6400 So. in Murray for a few years in the 70s and 80s. Almost neighbors with Allied. Spent a lot of time (and money) there. I moved to Arizona in '84 and never heard about their fire and going out of business until I moved back to Utah about 2004. Broke my heart. Almost as bad as Anglers' Inns going down the tubes post Scadden.
I guess it is some measure of redemption that not only is the old Smith and Eddies still where it used to be...but now they are opening a new store closer to me. Life is good and getting better.
