Middle Fork Clearwater River – From its confluence with the South Fork Clearwater River upstream to the confluence of the Lochsa and Selway rivers

South Fork Clearwater River – From the Highway 13 Bridge (about 300 yards downstream of where Highway 14 and the Harpster Grade Road merge) upstream to a posted sign about 300 yards upstream of the Mt Idaho Grade Road bridge.

The following area opens to fishing for Chinook Salmon on June 22, 2017. Fishing is allowed seven days a week in this area.

The following areas open to Chinook Salmon fishing on June 22, 2017:

South Fork Salmon River - from the bridge on Forest Service Road 48 (Lick Creek/ East Fork South Fork Road) where it crosses the mainstem South Fork Salmon River just upstream of the confluence with the East Fork South Fork Salmon River, upstream approximately 32 river miles to a posted boundary approximately 100 yards downstream from the Idaho Fish and Game South Fork Salmon River weir and trap.

Upper Salmon River - from the Highway 93 bridge 0.3 miles south of the junction of Highway 93 and Highway 75 upstream to the posted boundary approximately 100 yards downstream of the weir and trap at Sawtooth Fish Hatchery south of Stanley.

Lower Salmon River (Park Hole): From the Highway 95 Time Zone Bridge upstream to a posted boundary at the mouth of Short’s Creek (see special restrictions regarding fishing from water craft).

Little Salmon River Lower: From the mouth upstream to the Highway 95 Bridge near Smokey Boulder Road.

Fishing from any watercraft is prohibited within 30 yards of the west shoreline of the Salmon River from the Riggins City Park boat ramp upstream to a posted boundary approximately 50 yards upstream of the mouth of the Little Salmon River. Fishing from any watercraft is also prohibited in the Little Salmon River from the mouth upstream approximately 200 yards to a posted boundary.
