does anyone have any information on when to start thinking about a trip over to the Columbia for Walleye?
Im thinking a few trips are in order this year to try something new.

Fished Friday with Tom and managed 1 walleye on a crank bait. Great fishing with Tom as always. It was cold all day and windy.
Saturday fished with Chris and Noah and we put 15 eyes in the boat and most of those came on Blade Baits. I got on fire with the blades in the evening and I am slowly coming around to those. Like everything else I guess, put in the time and it usually pays off. Our biggest was just under 6lbs but all fish 16-24". No big girls.

First nice day in a while and it looked like opening day in the sierras near LA - counted
36 boats between the Burbank RR bridge and the OR border. Water temp 40.2, no wind
and low current - Ice harbor at 90K CFS and Priest Rapids at 138K made for
easy trolling. Saw a few caught and that was in deeper water around 40' - not much
action in the 20-30' range. Only saw one or two pulling plugs going up river. Most
others using bouncers, blades and jigs. Nice day, lots of eagles and other water borne
critters. Water clarity about 5' - not a lot of action, but enough to go back tomorrow.
