Fishing on Kiawah Island, South Carolina

I will be in Kiawah over New Years for about a week and would like to do some fishing. Anything, anyone can tell me would be helpful.

Where are the best spots to fish? I was thinking about checking out some of the islands saltwater ponds.

Also, which type of bait should I be using? I will be fishing off the piers mostly.
