Life jacket ?
#1
So i consider myself a pretty hardcore angler, well i have an 8 month old son and Sadly enough he hasnt been on the water yet. My question here is do they make lifejackets for babies and whats the regulations? My son is big for 8 months as he is closing in on 25 lbs, i just wanna take him out on the boat, but before i do so i need to know the proper safety regulations and what not

thanks

That's a big boy! We have a fifteen month old son about the same size that we took to hawaii last month. We found a life jacket at Costco that is supposed to keep their head above water. It has the back piece that flips up and has a handle on it.

Yeah, they make sure that you have one. Life jackets must fit the kid and are sold by weight. One with too much buoyancy will not be a good thing....ex...one for an adult, when used on a child will not be good, and could get you a ticket. Just make sure that the weight that is listed on the jacket is what he weighs and you will be set.
