new guy..need some help:)
#1
hey guys! i just joined after cruising the site for awhile. i know you all know your stuff so here goes...

i am an ultralight/small creek guy....5' rod and an ultralight spinning reel with 95 yards of 6# line. recently i hooked up with a nice bass and he broke my line at the knot. it happened again a week later too! i just now learned that it could be from me tying my improved clinch and not wetting the line? i was using trilene xt. what would be a premium line for me? i have looked at seagaur invizx. i mainly fish spinner baits and rebel crawdads.

thanks guys

Welcome to the site! I'm sure we can help you out. Most streams that I have fished are very clear so I always use P-Line flourocarbon (That's what I use mostly everywhere) because it is less visible in the water and very strong. It's a must to wet the line because of the friction and I use eight wraps on the improved clinch knot but that's a personal preference.
6# should be good for most stream bass so we need to figure this out, I hate losing fish!
