Does anyone know of a good waterproofing agent for the leather uppers of Sorels? I'm really looking for something that will saturate the leather and be as scent free as possible. I've tried the rub on paste but it doesn't seal the seams too well and that is where the water starts to get in. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

I use the camp dry spray on stuff. It stinks like hell when you spary it on but after it drys there is not much of an odor.

Now that this has fallen off the front page of the general boards maybe someone else will have some ideas here.

After you have put the paste on, melt it into the seams and thread with a hair dryer.

For the last 25 years I have seen soooooooo many hunters that don't know how to water proof their boots - That Camp Dry stuff is a joke for boots - maybe good for some other stuff but I'll never invest in any.
Short story - The BEST & ONLY waterproofing for leather is ---- drum roll please.... Obenauf's
Obenauf's was developed for smoke jumpers and is second to none I've found and I tried dozens...
Available at Sportsmans (at least at the one in Murray)
Apply with your fingers and it work it's magic....
So ya know why there wasn't many responses to your post - cause they just didn't know the answer.
Here a link to their Hunters Page:
