Burraston Ponds is absolutely correct. (Sorry Kent, you're a little too late, and I've never heard of a Hamburger Pond. Is that one of the Burraston Ponds or what?)

Sorry, I didn't see that name had already been guessed before I replied. I almost guessed that when you first made the post, but talked myself out of it. I grew up in Payson and I think more people called them Hamburger Ponds than Burraston Ponds. I have no idea why they were called that, except that at one time I believe they were a state fish hatchery, and perhaps folks thought that they fed them hamburger, or perhaps hamburger was a favorite bait to use down there.

Frankly, I have no fondness for Burraston Ponds, or even Hamburger Ponds, and I think it stinks most of the time and it's too hot in the summer and there are lots of bugs and Boy Scouts etc. But yeah, the picture does look very typical. (For those that don't know, Burraston Ponds is near Mona, which is near Nephi. You might as well zip right on past and go to Yuba!)

Okay, Here is the next one.

Hint, this is a lake in the Uintas that is occasionally reported about here on the board. (think Murdock basin)

[#000000]For some reason I thought Ryder Lake first, but then saw the little man [Wink] in the pic and thought to myself it must be a short walk or hike probably. Then, how could I forget. That can be a nasty little road to that lake. I cracked a front wheel knuckle there a long while back driving at night. Yep, it was a $575 repair. [/#000000]

I am out of pictures (unfortunately I have had the nasty habit of only taking close-up pictures) so whomever has another picture to post please post one.
