local jon boat price
#1
I went to a local dealer to look at jon boats. The brand they carry is Polar Craft. I can find no info on this brand online... kinda weird. I did find a Polar Kraft website, but it does not seem to be the same company. The Polar Craft logo has a polar bear climbing around on the letter "P". Anybody know anything about this brand? They seemed quite sturdy for a riveted jon. I would prefer a welded if I can afford, and find, one.

Anyway, a new 16 footer with a modified V hull is $2.6k and a very simple yacht club trailer for it is $600. Package total (no motor): $3.2k. Does anyone know if this price sounds typical for this type of package? I am having a terrible time comparing prices online because they normally are not listed... and every jon boat dealer I can find is closer to Mississippi than Utah. I would much rather get a brand that I have heard of, but am having trouble finding a place to buy them. I would really like the Lowe 16 ft, mod V hull, and live well... but can't find where to get one.

Any one work at a boat shop or know of a good place to look at them in the SLC area? Anyone heard of Polar Craft?

I was wrong it is a Polar Kraft with a "K". Anyone had any experience with this brand. I can't find any MSRP pricing online to let me know if the local price is good.

I have seen the polar express boats you are talking about, but I don't know anything about them. The Lowe boat you have mentioned is a great boat. What plans do you have for your current jon boat, do you plan on keeping it for duck hunting or do you plan to sell it? I may be interested in it if you are looking to get rid of it. Good luck on the water.

I guess I'm a Iittle Confused are you looking for a flat bottom boat or a Modified V. It made a big differences in how it handles the water. Robertsons Marine on Main street had several in stock a month ago. I can't remember which dealer is carry the Lowe boat, maybe just start calling them till you find it, they were at the boat show so I know their around.

Good luck.

Great, I'll look into who had the Lowe boats locally and PM you in the morning. Robertsons has the Crestliner I'm sure they would be able to help you. Tell Cal Robertson, LeRoy sent you. Then make he doesn't rise the price. HA
