Cali - Hot Creek Hatchery contamination
#1
"The Department of Fish and Game (DFG) will modify trout distribution following the discovery of New Zealand Mud Snails (NZMS) in Hot Creek Hatchery. However, the detection of the invasive aquatic snails in the hatchery located approximately 37 miles north of Bishop is expected to have little impact on the number of trout the DFG stocks in area waters."

It took many years for the Colorado DOW to decide not to stock fish from contaminated waters.

[mad]That smacks of Sabotague?

I've seen the Weather channel's explanation of how it can actually Rain Fish. A way of moving one variety of fish to another variety's pond.
But snails all the way from New Zeland?

That's just wonderful[pirate] Somebody jacked up that one while they are slating to close the Mt. Whitney hatchery which is just about 30 miles south of Bishop.

Maybe they will keep Mt. Whitney open longer.[cool]
