lake hudson fishing report
#1
[cool]This was an awesome fishing trip, i took my niece and nephew fishing on lake hudson and we picked an area where there were dead pan fish floating all over the shore line. Can anyone tell me why they were all over the shoreline like that? Heres a clue, all the fish on the shoreline were missing the back half of there body mostly the tail. Anyone? Anyone? It's because we were fishing off the shore where it was pretty shallow for about 20 feet er so out then it dropped off to 24 feet and the Tiger Musky were waiting. We caught some bluegill and sunfish and even a largemouth bass all from a bobber and a worm. The boaters going by all said they had a good day fishing, some with pike some with musky catches. most were using live bait. Minnows seemed to be doing really well. We took pictures of the fish we caught but my neice and nephew didn't seem to understand the concept of putting my hat in the picture so i could post them on the 16 species contest but i will try to enter them anyway. But besides the line tangling and mosquito fighting this is an awesome lake to fish, here is a picture that we took of my nephew catching a bluegill that a lake resident wanted back.. this is great!

I don't think Mr.P will be any inconvienance , but we will have to explain to him this is a guys event only .

They told me the boat tarp I left behind went to a good cause , the roof was leaking in gramps room so it is covering up that area , when ever I get a chance I will stop by there with some roofing patch and give it a coating , if you don't think anyone would mind ?

We are in the process of starting a few outings ;

Bow camp , either at the Alcona Pond campground or around here in October.

B.F.T. Fall Fishcamp or Get-Together , at the Manistee (Tippy Dam ?) , Foote Pond , or another location depending on member input .

Squirrle Camp , a one weekend of small game hunting at Dunham Lake ( State Land just south of Westbranch) .

Give me a holler this weekend , evenings would be best .

Congradulations on the birth of your Manchild !
It won't be too long before we can break out the Milk Duds ( smart-berrys ) and show him how he can track the mighty buck by eating a few of the droppings left by BullWinkle .
