bass are on their beds, tucked in so stay off... "state law"

gills are getting on thier beds and prepairing for the spawn and crappie are spawinging now.

Remember to put the big full femails back and eat some of the stunted full femails.

walleyes are pretty active and the lake trout are jumping.

Lylacs are at full bloom and the whippoorwill is singing it lonesome toon pre dawn and after dusk. Had one in my yard today eyeballing me.... We should have the midnight peepers any day now...

Ahhh , The sounds of spring .
Thunder , frogs , birds first thing in the morning and the steady buzz that sounds like a million electric razors running all at once comming from the woods . Skeeters [crazy]!

The male bass are prepairing the beds but aren't hitting anything yet . they won't hit untill after the eggs have been droped .
Bassass's Fishing club is the only one I know of who is waiting untill after the spawn to start their tourney season , pulling spawners isn't something they concider to be true to the sport .
Gotta like those guys [Wink].
Looking to get a eye or a couple crappies this weekend , maybe a trout or two just for good measure .

I started to go out and see if there were any trout left today in my hole, I grabed my tackle box with my bearded crawlers and threw it in the truck wih the dog.

on the way out I drove by my sub property and remembered I had an area that was in need of beeing seeded, (grass) and my day of fishing was gone. I went to K-mart to find some grass seed, "NONE"

I hate to pick on martha stewart "not" the only seeds I could find was flower and vegitable seeds with her name on them. aperently she is buying class three seeds from seed companies and putting her name on them and reselling them. I saw zuccini seeds and they were lable summer squash, I saw summer squash and they were labled summer squash....

any way no vegitable plant nor flower plants other than large flower hanging planters. nothing I was intrested in, NO grass seed of any kind.

had to go to my trusty local hardware store to get my seed, Kentucky blue and perenial rye. While I was there I decided to pick up some name brand corn seeds for ten cents less than the martha brand. that killed a couple hours, then I went back and spread my grass seed and after that I was home again planted my corn then a nap set in. being cold and rainy and miserable would bave been a perfect day to try out the river, but you know the rules, no fishing untill the chores are done....

I tell ya putting martha's name on a product is a deturent to me from buying a product. they may as well have put the three stooges name on the seed packets, actualy I would probably have bought the corn seed from K-mart if they had... LOL

any way no fishing got done today... well at least not by me.... Man am I on a dry spell. all most six months and no fish.

You know , it is the right of every worm to live life to it's full potential [cool].
Before you become too attached to your bait can buddys and start calling them on a first name basis , you need to let them strech their legs , uh leg , a bit [crazy].
I think that luckey spot that dog likes would be best , besides , I recived word from the fish association , the bluegills are planning a toe nibbiling attack on any swimmer in the comerce lakes area , youngsters would be vonarable [shocked].

It is up to you my friend to put those bearded worms to work before the AARP starts sending them sign up forms in the mail .

It is your duty to put and keep your american nightcrawlers to work , otherwise our fishing labor force will be flooded by worms from across the boarder . Yes , canadian crawlers , taking jobs away from our american nightcrawlers , I have seen them in the baitstores already . what is this contry comming too ????

NOW GET UP , PUT ON THAT RAIN JACKET AND YOUR LUCKEY FISHING HAT , GRAB OL' RELIABLE ( your fishing pole ) AND TELL DOG IT'S TIME TO GO FISHING !!!![Wink]

The worms will enjoy the trip too , after all ,
Fishing , I's a good thing [Tongue]. LOL !!!!

I realy dont get to fish commers lake much in the summer time. ever since I lost my boat launch I have had a hard time getting on and off the lake.

I fish commerce mostly during the winter though the ice.

I waisted another fine rainy cold miserable day, I went to the county auction. Thought I might be able to buy something to resell, nope! every thing went for 30% more than what I could buy it on the street for. no deals there today.lots and lots of cars going for a $1000-$3000 more than I could get it on the street for... including rust buckets with over 100k miles. one had 235k and sold for 5+k... Guess it just wasnt my day again.... there were 3 row boats a canoe 9.9 horse merk and a dozen paddle boats a couple big power boats with trailors. again it all went for more than street value.

No flea markets ?[cool]
I once bought a 17'V-hull fiberglass boat at one ,$400.00 .
tuned up the 40 hp. moter and took her for a spin[Smile] .
when I got back I put a new lower end on the moter , took her for another spin [Sad].
when I got back i ripped out the rotted floor and put in a new floor and transom . slapped in some new carpet , a radio , speakers , seats , a fish finder , and some lights ( more stuff too , but you get the idea )[unsure] .
she went out a couple more trips before we started having issues with the throttle and stearing cables [shocked].
Ever try fishing the Detroit river stuck in reverse , let alone try to put back into the dock like that[pirate] ?
It sounds funny , but the coast guard didn't see any humor in it .
I took it back to the flea market and sold her for $400.00.[angelic]

Sometimes ya' gotta have a whole buncha money to afford a good deal after the sale , then ya' gotta know when to pass that good deal on to some other sucker before ya' run yourself broke .

With that in mind , did I ever tell ya' about the first Mrs. ?[crazy]LOL!!!!

there were a bunch of them deals,

the fiberglass boats you could see there was wood rot around the hull and top bulk head seem. I mean there was a good two inch drift in the rubber seem.

the two merks were not running and they sold for 8&9 hundred dollars each and the engines did not run. a respectable price for those would have been only 200 and 250 is a bit steep. we are looking at used parts.

Yep with out a doubt some guys got stiffed and dont know it yet. but ya know how it goes, some guys have more money than brains, and others can afford to gamble.

they reminded every one numorus times that every thing is as is with no warenty other than clear paper work saying you own it....

there were 4-5 guys that bought the bulk of every thing...

the only real deals were the bycicles. and again aside from a few the bulk went to 3-5 guys. I kept track of what every thing went for, but I did not want to keep track of the bidders. I heard the same bidder numbers getting called over and over again.

It would have been nice if my home loan would have gone though before the auction, I could have gotten me a cheep truck with a snow plow. just under 5k

there were about a dozen orv's not quads but the orv's used by golf corses with dump beds. one had a cab, would have made a perfect deer hunting cab for a disabled hunter. put a boat wench on the back to pull your deer up with and be gone.

I did make one buy, a two dollar hot dog and a coffee for a buck....

at least this time I did not have to pay to get in....[cool]
