BFT Wiper Tourney 2006 Rod

We are thinking about doing a Rod Building contest for the Utah BFT Wiper Contest (on May 20th) and I wanted to know the level of interest from Rod Builders.

How many Rod Builders would be interested?
We would have to figure out the details and Prizes but if there is enough interest we could put something together.

The general idea is we would want to make it worth the winning rod builders time and present the winning rod as a prize in the event.[/size]

Hey Mike. I'd be interested but I don't think I could have a rod done by May 20th and that would be starting right now. But I don't have a blank or the fix'ens to put one together right now.
But I do have a Killer GL3 maroon loomis I built last year that I could enter. later chuck

[cool][#0000ff]Interesting idea, but I think most of the BFT members who wrap their own sticks are more into utility than fancy. There are a handful of us crazies who know how to weave a pattern or use more than one color in a wrap, but having a contest would shut out most of the members.[/#0000ff]
