Gentleman 3/4day Fishing Report 4/23/05
#1
The Gentleman left Channel Islands Sportfishing harbor at 6:00am. We went out to Anacap Island and fished for rockfish. The load was around 50 people.

The water temp was around 56 degrees and the current was uphill @ .06kts.

We caught lots of Starries, Red Snapper, Blue Bass and a couple of keeper lings. Lots of short lings were caught and release as well as some California Scorpionfish. A Lavender Sculpin was also caught and released.

We returned around 4:00pm.

That was actually a Lavender Sculpin. They are not too common in the waters south of Pt Conception. Everyone on the boat that saw it thought it was a Martha Stewart fish.

Go figure. After seeing Reds, Blues, Browns, Mottled colors, suddenly, up come this Lavender Martha Stewart fish out of no where. ha ha.[cool]
