[unsure] I like Bass Master and Field and Streams. Don't really know of any local magazines to speak of.

I don't really have a favorite local fishing/periodical. Besides newspapers, Fishing & Hunting News is the only one that writes about Eastern Idaho fishing waters on a regular basis that I know of.
I like the articles from local newspapers best because they don't exaggerate how good the fishing is at a place like Fishing & Hunting News does. In my opinion once you get to know all the places in an area and if you’re keeping up on current events, all of the articles in F&H News are old news. I'm always in fear of F&G News writing an article about some of my favorite places because as soon as they write about a place the number of fisherman drastically increases until F&H News tells everyone a different place to fish.

I subscribed to the fishing & hunting news for years. I liked the maps and local reporters telling about local conditions and areas, but then they discountinued the local writer's columns. After a few years it seemed like there wasn't really anything new in there and the same ol' same ol' so it let the subscription run out. I get a weekly e-mail newsletter here in Utah from David Webb I enjoy. It is real brief, but free! It is accessed at www.utahoutdoors.com. It has the link to the Utah DWR fishing report also. When I moved to Tremonton everyone said you need to buy an Idaho fish license because the fishing is much better there. I fish both states and I have had lots of fun at the lakes around Malad. Acey
