Hit the Weber between Echo and Rockport. River flow is down quite a bit from last weekend and the water is starting to clear up. Success on the Whitey's was good. Had several fish on every hour and managed to bring close to a limit home for the smoker and pickling jars. No trout today. Smaller sized prince nymphs seemed to be the ticket. Beautiful morning.

No snake sightings - only a muskrat and a few other fishermen.

I was there today, and saw a huge snake in the woodpile under the bridge above Echo. It caught me way off guard, and I just about took a swim. Damn how they love that loose wood. If you go, grab my Deer Hair Mouse of the fence at the highway bend just above. There was a big wood pile there too, and I figured one mouse wasn't worth another traumatic experience.
