FG Ice Fishing

I have only been to flaming gorge once ice fishing and that was many moons ago and i been wanting to go catch some burbot does anyone have any idea where on the lake a guy could get into some and how the current ice conditions are thanks in advance

I have no first hand info but Firehole usually freezes first, then the confluence.

The confluence is already frozen and folks are fishing it.  You'd have to use FB to know that and see Colton Christensen's latest video of it.

Last weekend Firehole had 11” ice, Sage Creek had 9”. There are several videos and articles on the web that show how and where to catch burbot at Flaming Gorge. Specifically, KSL Outdoors, DWR, WGFD have videos, articles, and maps that will help.

Mad a trip to Rock Springs on new years day, hit fire hole, several people on the ice,  come back on the west side, buck board had a little between the docks, 2 empty trailers,

Lucerne, antelope, sheep creek, mustang and cedar springs open  with dry ramps, last sunday water temp 42 at mustang,
               O.C.F.D.
