Flamming Gorge 5-18,19

I went up to the Gorge last weekend and fished in the Derby. The fishing was pretty good. We caught a lot of fish, but to bad for us none were big enough. The Rainbows (slime rockets) we caught were in 20 to 30 foot range and ranged in size from about 13 to 18 inches. The Bass fishing was not to bad we averaged about 20 to 25 Bass a day. We caught Lakers in about 50 ft range but nothing big. For all you kockanee fisherman, they weighed to kocks that were pushing the 5 pound mark. Now thats a big Kock. But it was a real good weekend. the water temp was 55 to 60 degrees depending on were you were fishing. The Bass are in almost ready to spawn<br><br>

Sweet, I am going back up in the middle of june for five days. As usual in that tournament, I think its a big luck gamble. If you had to weigh several big fish to get a total weight the more skilled anglers would dominate the tournament but since its only one fish, its anyones game.<br><br>UNICORN CATCHER F.L.P.
