Strawberry ridge road
#1
Went for a ride with the wife today back to my old elk hunting grounds.  I'm not hunting any longer but still love being in the mountains.
That ridge road was mostly dry but has lots of bad ruts and old water runoff. I can see the forest service does not run any equipment to grade the road beds any longer.  Not good for your big trailers.
Did not see any deer or elk.  Lots of green growth for food and get this No sheep have been there.
I know everyone is allowed to use these roads but those rock climbers and side by sides really are chewing up the roads.
I hope you have a great family hunting camp and respect our forests.

My family and I have been bow hunting near that same area since 2001 and have taken 23 elk out of there, since they started opening the area up to bear hunting with hounds during the archery hunt and running lion hounds pretty much year round the hunting has been the pits the last  two seasons.  Angry
