We fished our monthly tournament last weekend June 10th thru 12th.
1/2 inch gizzard shad and threadfin shad in waves. Our big fish for the club was 7.60 on an anchovy.
Our boat fished Saturday from 5:30 pm until 4:30 am on Sunday.
Fishing was slow as we had to hide from the wind until 7pm.
The bite went wide open around 10:30pm.
The fish arcs were so thick they became X's.
They were stacked up from 15ft down to the bottom at 80ft.
At 3:00 am I put on a BPS brand 1 oz spoon and hooked fish after fish until 4:30am.....then the bite was over.
Spoons: 25-30 Stripers (missed 5-6 per drop, bam, miss, bam, miss)
Lost probably 10 at the boat and lost one spoon due too frayed line.
80 pounds of chum/bait and 8 cans of corn......150 fish caught and 50 kept.
All fish were donated to local church.
Pics later of the dam location, North!
P.S.
One ounce Carolina rigs and 1/8 ounce jig heads with anchovies.
