Hello folks,
I recently bought my first fly outfit. Orvis Encounter. This outfit comes with a floating line and my flies are all dry flies.
I need to add some new tippet to the tapered leader and was looking at items on Walmart online. One of their tippets, SuperFly Premium Tippet, says that it is for sub-surface presentations. This is the first I've heard that a tippet may be for underwater use. I haven't seen any other tippet say anything about sub-surface or floating.
Are tippet materials different? Do I need to make sure I get surface use tippet?
