watch your back, it's pretty ghetto. [pirate] and don't expect a stellar day they only stock a few fish in there. I did take home 2 18"+ cats in one day from there once. there are no bass, but there are green sunfish and carp, and trout in the winter. the water is nasty green with low visibility. hopefully they dredged it and cleaned up the water a bit... I used to fish poorenzi quite often when I lived on that side of town. good luck out there.[fishon]

I'm not sure about now.. but before they remodeled there was bass in there..big ones too.. I caught a lmb bass a long while ago that came in just over 6lbs. I caught little 1 lbers up until a few months that they closed out. I had the most success with drop shotting plastic worms of all colors for the bass.

You shouldn't have taken back your statement!!!!

I went there today and pretty sure I was about to get robbed until something made the dumbshits think twice about what they were about to do.

It really pisses me off that the city spent $30 million dollars to rebuild a park that was so ghetto that they had to close it down to begin with. Maybe they should have taken that $30 million and built the park in a good neighborhood where people can actually enjoy it without having to worry about getting robbed or assaulted.

Fishing Report:

Pretty sure there are no fish in there. It's pretty shallow (maybe 5 -6 feet deep at most) and the water is pretty clear and I didn't see anything. I walked the entire lake and could see almost every part of the water and didn't see a single fish.

The pond itself was rebuilt really nice... lots of structures and vegetation that would be great for the fish - just not sure if they ever restocked it.

Safety Report:

Not worth the risk in my opinion. Park looks awesome - how could it not after spending 30 million. Problem is the homeless bums and the ghetto have invaded the park again and I guarantee within 6 months it will be trashed.

Looked like a few drug dealers had setup in certain areas of the park, and there were multiple homeless people sleeping in the park.
