I am looking to expand my fishing adventures beyond FLP. I havent been out to Lake Mead in over 8 years. I read about Hole 33 and all these other places that you guys fish at Lake Mead. I wouldnt mind trying out Hole 33 first or even Willow Beach. I just need to find some where that we can fish from shore. Would I be able to fish from shore at Hemenway Harbor?
Can anyone give me detailed directions on how to get to these places?
Any information/advice is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I am a shore bound angler myself. I fish at many different locations on the lake, I mostly go to crawdad cove, and boulder harbor. I have also fished hemmenway, government wash, 33 hole and once boulder beach.
get an annual if u plan on fishing more than 3 times this year 10 bucks a pop or 30 for the whole year jan 1st- dec 31st
to get to crawdad cove from henderson you would take the first left after the pay booth and follow the road north passed gypsum wash, government wash, & 8.0 road, and just after 8.0 road there will be a right, turn there and follow the gravel road out there will be a fork in that road one will take you to crawdad cove and one will take you to boxcar cove. follow the crawdad cove way (i have never went to boxcar before) crawdad cove is accessable with 2wd but just take it slow as the road isn't the greatest also when u arrive at the cove watch out for the soft sand to the left of the area. there will be some softer dirt as u arrive at the cove just keep steady and u should be fine getting through it.
to get to government wash its the same direction as to crawdad cove just make the right at government wash. not much parking but with the water receding there will be more area to fish. very rocky though.
to get to 33 hole from henderson take the road south and go passed the old las vegas wash marina now dry storage, and 33 hole will be on the left side clearly marked, there are 3 paved parking lots, I have only parked in the middle lot, then you will have to hike down to the water/, its a bit of a hike but at 320lbs I manage with 4 rods, 30lb tackle box, a small cooler, and my 3yo daughter. but I would suggest packing light as possible.
to get to boulder harbor proceed south passed 33hole overlook, rocky point overlook, the old fish hatchery, and boulder harbor is just passed the hatchery it's clearly marked, u can almost drive right up to the water there but not recommended due to receding water leaving very soft mud/clay nasty stuff. brings back bad memories of getting too close to the waters edge with my blazer.
to get to hemenway go almost all the way to the boulder city pay booth. turn left before u get to the booth. follow the road down, and there will be a left take that left and almost immediately turn right onto the dirt road there are many different gravel roads to go from there, one will take you to a fishing pier, the others will take u to shore fishing spots I try to fish closest to the harbor as I can, outside the tires.

Wow awesome info man. Thank you very much. I am going to need to have to print all this info out..haha. Where would you recommend us try first? I have a truck but do not want to take any chances. Thats the thing i love about FLP....parking in a paved parking lot and bathrooms for my gf.

the only place u are going to have easy access to restroom/outhouses is 33 hole and boulder harbor but both are a bit of a walk,or hike if u are at 33hole.
I would try crawdad cove first, less people (most times) and more area compared to all the other areas, but I haven't been there since spring break so I cant tell u how the water level is there, but I do know there is pretty deep water out there even when the lake level is very low. so if u are in your truck facing the water when u get to the cove look to the right u will see a narrow cove that's the deeper side of the entire area. camping is permitted but ZEROfacilities bring in your own water and your own toilet LOL.
