[#0000ff]Of course some flubs are simple miss keys while writing. But a lot of it is by the same posters every time they post. There are those who might argue it is simply a matter of style. I think not so much. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]While some of us seem to enjoy making fun of those who have problems with spelling and grammar, at least this forum mostly tolerates the mistakes. I have seen some boards where the members are outright hostile and bash someone for failing to use the proper to, too, or two.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]In truth, we enjoy the reports and replies of ALL members. Some of them are young and still in school. Others had only limited educations. Those things should not eliminate being able to play on the boards. It definitely is not a detriment to the enjoyment of fishing and hopefully not to being willing to share and help when possible.[/#0000ff]

Dubob, I think I will have to disagree with you on the educational systems fault. I will agree that the texting has alot to do with it . Our society accepts the short cuts. The younger generation is slaughtering the english language . We as educators don't teach them how to text. I know it is a pain to try to translate some of the assignments I grade. I certainly don't approve of the poor spelling. I don't want to be given credit for it. gshorthair

My typing is so bad that I automatically hit spell check on everything !! It is not 100%, but it catches most of the errors !!!

for me to see the "dumbing down" of the "average" applicant. People with several letters (degrees) after their names were sometimes the worst of the lot...poor spelling and unable to construct even the most basic sentences when asked a question.[/#0000ff]
