Kayak 4/27

Launched from Govmnt Wash at 7am and trolled round to the wash. Caught a 15" striper on a crankbait just after rounding the first point. Continued to a spot off the first mesa and dropped anchor in 35'. A couple already there told me they had caught two. I started fishing with what I think were sardines (said anchovies on the wrapper) and hooked several stripers and a channel cat. Three were dinks and two got off (one wrapped around the anchor line and the other took my hook).
Kept five, the largest was 21". Most were caught on a lightweight rod with 6lb test.

thnx for the report! and that channel kitty had a pot belly was it full of eggs? glad to see the catfish are starting to get active, I'm yet to get one this year on 4 outings. I love me some catfish![fishon]

Cat kept crawling round the kayak so I let her? go. Don't know if it was pregnant.
One of the stripers was pretty fat as well.
