Echo Bay on Saturday
#1
What a great day to be out on the water. Had really good striper action throughout the morning on everything from rattle traps to anchovies. Had a nice largemouth on, but it shot straight up out of the water and spit the lure. I need to get schooled on where to find these smallmouth that the other poster was catching, as they look like a lot of fun. All in all, a beautiful day on the lake, can't wait to get back out there.

Where did you go at Mead? It seems there were a lot of people out this weekend with the hot weather.

We launched at Echo bay, headed south and fished a large, deep, point. Some of the stripers we're quite nice, larger than the average schoolie. There were several other boats out, but nothing like it would have been at Calville, etc. Water temp was about 65 degrees and made for a nice cool down with that heat on Saturday.
