No PM's needed I know exactly where that is!
A guy wanted clues, I considered chiming in but not without your permission. Keping within the forum rules and all. I think I will wait for more ice. Now do you want to let us know anything about what you caught? [signature]

I dont understand what the big deal is about letting people know about ice conditions you see it all over the forum. I could understand if it were private I would understand more.

I dont quite understand that either. But to each their own. I let people know what is going on and where. I dont think fishing is just for me.

So I am guessing you were one of the people fishing it, or were you with the group wandering around drilling test holes? I'm the one that asked how thick it was if you were the ones fishing.

Please take the time to go to this link and read the part about "Hot Spotting", because this topic has come up many times over the years we came up with this rule to try and keep everyone happy: http://www.bigfishtackle.com/forum/Utah_Fishing_Forum_C55/Utah_Fishing_General_F58/gforum.cgi?post=369092;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;page=unread#unread We would much rather that members post reports like this, than not post them at all, so that is why there is a rule like this. In most cases, it is just a matter of contacting the member with a PM to get the rest of the info you are seeking but it is his right not to share any info, if that is what he wants to do. I hope this helps you understand why we need to make rules like this. [signature]

I understand that but this post had nothing to do with with a hot spot or even how fishing was on a particular lake. It was a picture of ice. It would be nice to know the status of this area for safety purposes alone. This could potenially be putting the safety of others in jepordy.

+1 - The original post is ridiculous. I could care less where the picture was taken but if you want it a secret and are asking/showing your buddies; do it via e-mail not on a public fishing forumn. I also agree w/ B4D in that guessing where this spot is does not violate the hotspotting rules as it has nothing do with fishing. Again, ridiculous post....

Exactly! I'm not out to service and explore for everybody else, i took time out of my day to check it out...others can easily do the same!
