SANDHOLLOW 9/29
#1
well jakesgonefishin got me revved up on sand hollow after the pics he posted so I decided to cut loose on my days off and go to utah with the old lady - unfortunately I've only got one picture but the fishing was PRIME! This was my first visit to sandhollow but I'll be back very soon. The water was 80 degrees solid, half the mosquitos of lake mead and twice the cast-to-hook-up ratio. We camped on the shore and waded out about 20 feet into these sunken brush patches and hooked up consistently on beetlespins, chatterbait and white jigs

Who is it in this forum who loves beetlespins?? Because I bought a few after their review on them and I love them, they caught half of the bass me n my girl caught, all reaction strikes!!! Anyways, I recommend taking a quick trip there before it gets cold I had a great time

Sand Hollow is a blast. Glad to be a good influence. Don't give up on it for the fall, some of my best size months have been October and November, just go slow and big. Quial Creek will toss out some big bass too once they start stocking trout in the late fall through spring, bring your favorite striper trout swimbaits an old fishing buddy caught a 12 lber and 9 lber one day tossin some old school Castaics. Only bites he had but good way to go. If people are looking for some quiet smallmouth lakes with good shore line access and fun tubin spots check out Upper Enterprise and Newcastle, you can fish both in one day if you get bored as well. Hitting Sand Hollow monday with some work buddies. Looking for the big ones.

[cool]Yeah, I'm guilty of exposing the beetlespin. It is a great little lure that really catches fish. I use a light 7' rod and ultralight reel w/6lb test. The fights are great even on the small guys.
