[font "Calibri"]We get our operating funds thru membership dues, donations and raffles.[/font]
[font "Calibri"]Our operating costs are mostly tournament permits, trophies and prizes.[/font]

Hey guys, these raffles are awesome.
I won an awesome 12 foot surf casting rod with an Alvey reel, there is always good stuff, and lots of it.
Alan Cole tends to donate a hand-carved ac plug to each raffle (i think) and there is a boatload of other tackle and rods and reels. It truly isn't a skimpy raffle.
Buy some!
By the way Toby - that Alvey reel is collecting dust in my garage. You want it?

My Sister won one too they cast about 100 yards. So yes we will take another one.

Anyone that wants raffle tickets can come to a striper meeting and get them.

- also we (the club) will be at Lake Mead on Saturday 9-17-11 for another adapt-a-cove clean up.

The Nevada Striper Club will be at Callville Bay (near the courtesy dock) on Saturday at 8:00 am. If you want raffle tickets I will be there. Also after we do our clean up I will hanging around for a while about 1pm at the dock.

Adopt a Cove
(Clean up at Burro Point)
September 17, 2011
Meeting place: Boulder Launch Ramp
Time: 8:00 am (meet at ramp) clean up starts at 8:30am and will go until we are finished or lunch time.
There is a volunteer list being circulated. We currently we have three boats to shuttle people to and from clean up area.
Juniors contest
The juniors will be able to weigh the trash that they collect in a bag or bags. There will be a 1st 2nd & 3rd place prizes for the juniors.
All attendees are asked to prepare for the conditions that may arise. Also, please take pictures of the trash collected and the club members working.
*The Striper club will provide trash bags and gloves as well as lunch and beverages.
