Hi guys, I hope this thread will get descent attention in this section of BFT, maybe moderators can move it if they feel like that would be ok.
I was just thinking that maybe we as a big BFT family could start a help eachother thread where people can post things that they need, non-fishing or fishing related, and with the amount of people on here, there should be an exhaustive supply of wealth and resources. I thought of this when a guy on this website stated he was out of work, and in the process of finding a new job. I imagine there is someone on here that could help this guy out.
In addition, I figure we could treat this for any problem under the sun, if you can think of it, maybe someone can help, because I myself have experienced how giving people are on BFT. So if you need help with something, moving, fixing something, need a job, etc., give a shout out here, and maybe one of us can help.

I'll go first then, ha ha. As of today I need some info.
1. If you have a bad O2 sensor, will that foul your catalytic converter?
2. I'm looking for a good, honest, well priced electrician. I just need some odds and ends stuff, such as wiring up two exterior sensor lights, running the wires and installing a plug in our hallway, and running wires and installing a plug in my garage.

Great idea but many probably prefer to make a separate post when they need help. I know that I have received lots of valuable help, over the years, from my fellow BFT members.

You're probably right, but I'm just thinking that people are always hesitant to ask for help out of the blue, even if they are in dire straits. I figured that this could be a way to help eachother out, without feeling like you're looking for hand outs, or looking desperate by asking for help. Anyways just a thought.

I really like your idea and would support it. I have been reluctant to reply since I am one of those out-of-work dudes (well, kind of. I picked up a security job till something else comes up).
I would like to help you with your situation, but I don't like wiring to the box since I'm not licensed.
but if anyone needs labor or hamdyman work, hit me up! [cool]

What work experience do you have, and where do you live? Maybe someone here can get you hooked up! It's not what you know, it's who you know.

Yes. If the O2 fails and the engine is running rich, (high CO) or lean, (high HC) the converter could over heat and melt the honeycomb.
This is assuming you are talking about the upstream (before the cat) O2 sensor. If it's the downstream, it wont affect it.

I like that idea, would you made the painting the same size as the length of the fish or just match the color and general shape? Any idea what a painting like that would cost, would it be based on the length of the fish?

I like to work off photographs and can make a painting as big or small as you want. I have posted a new thread in the 'for sale' section addressing the painting idea.
thanks for your interest, wh2!
