Are you sure it's a Largemouth? The pattern on it's side definitely isn't that of a Largemouth...At first I thought it was a smallmouth, but the pattern still isn't there. I have no idea what it is, then.

Thats a bass alright. Must have murky water for it to be so light. If it's in your canal, you might have some great fishing there if you throw them back. They grow big fast down south.

Thats what I'm saying. I've seen them lighter than that one and very dark as well. Water clearity seems to play into the color.

Thats a bass baby!..to add confusion, On my pics, the first 2 are of a yellow guy and a dark one from my "own" lake, next, 2 dark and 2 light from Alfeds canal possibly different season.,maybe in rainy season they turn yellow.,Ive seen them almost white ,I guess they can change colore if needed depending on their habitat,I've seen them pale in new lakes with alot of lime in the water,I just think its cause its so clear and not alot of sediment or algae for them,so they match the white sand or lighy colored rocks to camouflage, those lakes looks blue.,..In the glades some canals may have an orange/yellow color, but clear. Some have algae blooms to a point were it looks like dots of spraypaint are on the surface..Some places, waterlooks dark and furosious[Image: scaredworried.gif]Paul pro...Pic 19 and 92 almost looks like I caught the same bass, but notice there are no lillies, plus It was just Alfred and I alone that day.Plus its windy in one pic.
