Hey i was wondering if anyone knew much about these killzone ice tents. Do they hold up to the wind and stuff had any problems? Any information would be appreciated thanks.

can you fly a Kite?

well, I am not going to talk it down to much, but I did get hit in the head by a flying shack a couple weeks ago. [:p]

meaning, 20-25 mile hour winds it the tops you want to use it in after that, no holds parge. I dont care how many spikes you nail in to the ice. they eventualy rattle out. you can put as much snow on the side flaps as you like but that is little use when the heavy winds are blowing everything astray.

they are nice shacks, but when it comes to holding up to the wind it holds up fine, it holds up so well it will fly away on you. Much as it did while I was fishing a cople weeks ago on one of my local lakes. the guys were sitting inside when we got a good 40 mile gust and the next thing you know, they were shackless, their shack caught wind and altitude of about 10 feet up in the air and flew 200 feet.

When it next came down, it was right on top my head... lol

I would stay away from any style tent while fishing in heavy winds other than maybe a clam style.

I have seen those popup style tents go gliding across the lake with anglers still sitting inside.. "no snow"

so if your like me, and like fishing windy days I would look twards a personal or multi person trap or clam. you are half way there.

if you plan on just fishing in the rain with light winds this unit will be just fine.
