Oh wow thats crazy. Ive always wanted to try some shed hunting and after going fishing up towards Heise the other day and seeing hundreds of deer I definetely am going to try it. Does anyone thats had a little success have any advice? Anything would help. Thanks.

I remember a few years ago there was a fire on haystack near mccammon and about a month after I went up there on the dirt bike and found around 40 pairs.. To bad they were all burnt up and destroyed.. Left them all there!!

Don't bother shed hunting Heise. It gets hit so hard every year. On Sunday I took the wife and kid up there to look at some small bucks. There were already 2 guys in the same canyon running the deer around. Give the deer a rest. The deer aren't going to drop for another month. There is also the stinking springs closure area you have to be careful of. In my opinion try somewhere else and don't run the deer through chest deep snow for 1 or 2 antlers. Just my opinion.

I agree, I am going to shed hunt this year, just going to wait until the snow is gone, or at least mostly gone. I really don't like the idea of harassing already struggling animals.
