I'm an avid spin rod fisherman! I fish at least 2 - 4 times a week, mostly at lakes, targeting different species of fish. When I say mostly, i really mean I mostly fish lakes! About two years ago, I went out and spent a truck of cash on fly gear. I just haven't seemed to get in any rhythm, but really enjoy fly fishing nonetheless. I have become really preoccupied with my spin reel targeting walleye, bass, trout, panfish, and catfish. Therefore, I really have not spent much time on any rivers.
Well......here's my chance....
I have a good friend who has a cabin right on the Duchesne river in Hannah, UT. We are headed up this weekend and are going to spend a fair amount of time on the river. I have fished the Provo a bit and know basics for fishing there. However, I have slim to zero knowledge about the Duchesne River. Being the spin rod fisherman that I am, I figure I could just rig up a treble hook and through some power bait on my hook. I know that's something you fly guys can appreciate, right? NO..just playing...lol...
If anyone would be kind enough to share any knowledge they may have about the Duchesne, it would be greatly appreciated. Techniques, what to use, anything useful....Thanks in advance!
