8/14 LBSF ElDorado
The ElDorado ran the am&pm 1/2 Day run today with Capt. Anthony at the helm while the Native Sun was in for maintence. We made the run in no time to the Izor Reef were it was slow picking for the Sand Bass and Barries. Water was flat and cold, I picked one Barrie on the Blue/White 544 jig and three Sand Bass on dropper loop for CAST C&R.

Hi there FTRDeckhand,

Must have been great having that big ol' boat as a half-dayer. Which was better AM or PM? Have a decent crowd? Do you get the feeling that the consistant sand bass fishing will be no more at the level it was two weeks ago? I do and I'm thinking we need a good yellowtail flurry to get guys back on the boats. Whatcha say? Thank goodness the barries have been taking up the slack in the last week or so both local and at the island. I hear colder water is ahead. I didn't get the temps yesterday, but we had that wierd 'cool down wind and chop' at Catalina that lets you know there's lots of wind/water currents mixin' it up.
