hello all i live in the houston area and im looking for a fishing buddy i dont get to get out and do alot of fishing mainly because most of the bodies of water out here require boats just to keep a safe distance from gators so i was wondering if anyone who goes fishing on the weekends would like some company.... i love fresh and saltwater fishing i have my own tackle would just like someone to show me some good spots to fish so i can take my Mom Brother and wife sometimes....but mainly to get away from my mom brother and wife on the weekends.... hehe anyways happy fishing all

Hey,

I might suggest you go to the tx dep't wildlife web site and find the trout stocking lakes near Houston, (Tom Bass park for instance). Get some power bait and small hooks and catch them (caught 5 this morning in a couple of hours).

Also the Missouri city parks department keep 5 or 6 lakes in parks around the city, stocked by wildlife dep't with bass catfish crappie and NO alligators.
