Guys, the true secret to ice fishing is to be exactly where the fish are schooling... If you do not set up under the fish or close to them, your time on the ice can be cold... Know exactly where they are schooling at and relate the baits to what they are feeding on...

Mr. Joe cool: Do you put your lure on top of the fish or do you set it under them..... I like to put my bait right next to them.....Either way ice fishing is about drilling a hole so you have access to abundance of fish.... Yes you are sitting on top of them, but you lure might be doing something else...

sorry about removing the link, we do have a rule about this sort of activity. check it out in the faq section of our site.

the real secret to catching fish is to be there when they are hungry, and change up your presentation to something more apealing or tantilizing...

What works for one person may not work for another...

find something that works for you, and if it quits working try using something else or chang your presentation.

there is no one sure fire method to catching fish.

so remember these 4 basics and you will do better than the avarage ice angler.
