When do you usually get safe ice in your area? Here in north Idaho its pretty common to have safe ice a week or so befor Christmas. Lets hope this is a good ice year...

I reitterate, "there is no such thing as safe ice"
here in southeast michigan, we can see walkable ice any time after thanksgiving, lately we havent seen walkable ice untill the middle of january and in the last 10 years we have had 3 years with no ice at all... [signature]

We have fishable Ice here in Utah right now, several lakes, including a portion of Scofield.

I'm from St. Maries but live in Boise now. Make it up there 1-2 times a year for pike and chinooks. I'll post next spring when I head up and maybe we can fish. Tight Lines - Rod [signature]
