since it had been NOVEMBER !!!!! emoBang emoBang emoBang since i had put my bullet in the water <br />and with the forecast as good as it was i HAD to put the boat in and do some main lake fishing super bowl or not !!!<br />(plus i had promised polodog a little help with his boat) .<br /><br />i put in at wolftiever around 9am or so and started at the bridge trying some new colors in the bobby garland<br />shad that have been doing pretty well for me in ponds and the small creeks around cleveland ( electric chicken and baby craw colors) .<br /><br />started at the bridge marking fish with the water temp around 46 (where it seemed to stay most of the day) <br />and hit all 4 pilings with no takers or even a nibble.<br />moved over to the harrison bluff . halfway around the bluff i had a hard hit on the baby craw and the drag started <br />screaming emoDance . i&#39;m thinking nice small mouth emoDance after about 5 min of back and forth on light tackle <br />i get it to the boat ........ its a small mouth alright ....... just the wrong kind of small mouth emoDoh .<br /><br />worked my way around the bluff even switching to a 16th oz head with no takers emoScratch .<br />hit a couple of main lake docks with the same result . <br /><br />headed back into wolftevier around 12 with only 2 short crappie to show for that before i headed over to polodogs to<br />help with his boat wiring . earlier i had poked at polo that boat wiring wasnt &quot;brain surgery &quot; to which he reminded <br />he was NOT a brain surgeon emoTongue <br /><br />well short story is that aries made some major changes and didnt send very good documentation on it but all the switches are doing what they are supposed to now . except that the new panel wont fit in the old hole emoDoh <br /><br />well polo decided fiberglass cutting could wait for another day as he was pulling in crappie after crappie while i worked on the boat ....... 20 &#43;. mostly short but better than what i had been doing . <br /><br />we jumped in my boat and frieda jumped in with us ( she hadnt been on the water in a while either and she was <br />ready to go emoLaugh ) <br /><br />went to a spring were i did pick up a barely keeper lm on the craw baby but no crappie . <br />hit a few more main lake spots only to have frieda frustrated at us for not putting any fish in the boat for her to <br />check... <br /><br />back into wolftiever on another spring where as daylight was waning we got several more shorts and 4 keepers <br />on those little bitty crappie stingers (white tail dipped in chartreuse) 1 of the keepers was a white that was just shy of a tarp . <br /><br />not much on the catching today but still a great day of fishing,fixing and fellowship .<br /><br />also ran into several cff folks out on the water including 2jigs it was great talking to all of them <br /><br />and thanks polo for showing me a few more spots and crappie tricks as always its a pleasure to have you and frieda on my boat <br />
