went trout fishing yesterday caught 4 threw the ice the boys had a good time thankfully someone had drilled several holes or we wouldnt have fished going to have to get us an ice auger. any one else fishing for trout

Why yes I am, I ran into the same problem around Jan. this year on willow creek below Tuttle. I was itching to do some fishing so I just took rocks and pounded the crap out of the ice. Waited about 30 min and caught 4. Very average 12 inch trout but I wasen't complaining. Its now about 3 months after that and I'm fishing Moon Lake and Camron springs on Fort Riley, and if I do say so myself, the trout fishing is at its best. Last stocking of the season was March 12th. Sadly the season ends soon [:/]
