I was wondering if anyone knew the ice conditions at Mackay Res. I want to fish there next Monday for Winter Solstice; it has become a tradition. It will probably be quite safe, but if anyone knows different let me know, and you will save me 200 miles of driving.
Thanks,

I was thinking of going to Mackay myself, but I might wait until my Vexilar comes in. Well that is if Santa fills my wish list.[angelic]

Your new Vexilar will work quite well at Mackay. When I get a group of fish on it I really start rapidly jigging. Once I hook one I use a method you taught me and I let it fight for 30 seconds to a minute. I have been able to keep the kokes around me even up to four hours while a hundred feet away nothing. I had to be ready, but the Vexilar allows that to happen.[/b]
