any pelican reports PLEASE

[] Has anyone one been to pelican lake lately. I didn't make it last year to catch some of those huge bluegills and largemouth bass but i would like to get there soon. I went early in the spring before there were very many bugs out on the water and i caught more big bluegills than i could count and then i went to fishin for those largemouths. I caught a lot of small ones but i was able to catch a few in the 13" to 16" inch range. They sure were fun and i'm looking forward to going soon. Any information would be great thanks and good fishing

You're too early for the gills still. Maybe about two weeks out if the weather warms. The largemouth are hot right now, but not the shallow sight fishing. They are in about three feet and the water is murky. They filled the lake till it was two feet from full, but they are drawing water already and it's down another foot. At this rate, it will be at C-Pool by June.
